He loved fantasy and with that, he loved the idea of Peter Pan and Neverland. A place where you could remain a child.

He also was someone full of talent and broke records and barriers left and right.

His music touched many and will continue to touch the fans of both new and old - and yet to be.

I grew up on his music and have been a fan for years - I don't ever remember not being a fan. I was inspired and motivated through so much of him - and also saddened by so much of him.

I feel sad that when I am finally inspired through such a visual art, as a drawing, that it is only after his passing.

I hope to create another piece that is more of a tribute and celebration, rather than loss and mourning. Because of this - I decided to put this under the Fanart category rather than the Tribute to Michael category.

I also chose to have his shoes in one of the poses he was noted for - rather than having them lying down normally and unused. In a sense, showing that his spirit - what he left behind - still lives and shines with and through others, as well (such as Tinkerbell using her fairy dust on them - every little bit counts and helps).
